Alan comes from Tring in Hertfordshire, he is the Managing Director of AP Taylor, a Vacuum Company. Alan is Passionate about his angling and is one of the pioneers of french fishing and renowned for discovering Chantecoq, one of the most famous lakes in carp fishing history. Hes caught fish in the UK to over 50lb including Ringstead's The Lady and also Bill the Common from Acton

Ever since he and Len Gurd (Owner of Linear Fisheries) were young and digging ponds by hand, Alan has wanted a Fishery and he loves every minute of it!, it really is a labour of love with the main Ecton Complex consisiting of 4 Lakes and a stretch of river.  Magazines like Carp-Talk have done some great write ups on the place and its also been the location for some very famous anglers, like Matt Hayes and Mick Brown, to Film a leg of their TV Series "The Great Rod Race", in addition some of the most well known companys like Ultima have used the complex for product and session filming. Alan and his team have worked very hard over the years to make Ecton one of the premier fisheries in Northamptonshire and in the whole country, stunning views, mature surroundings, BIG carp all provided in a very secure location, what more can you ask for?!
