Ecton Lake extends to 38 acres with islands running down the centre, which means the angler never feels they are fishing a large expanse of water. Every swim has its own water, you are not overlooked or fishing someone else's water. Car parks at each end of the lake make for easy access to swims. Parking is permitted on one bank behind the swims, which are spacious and accommodate the largest of bivvy's, many of the swims are double-sized and are very secluded.

The lake, which has a huge head of fish, has produced carp to 40lb 8oz in 2007.

Floater fishing and stalking are good tactics with 30lb+ mirrors and commons often falling to these methods.

Big catches are possible; one angler caught 50 x 20lb+ carp last season, another angler had 6 x 20lb+ and 6 x doubles in 12 hours!

An impressive fishery with a great future, this lake also has tench to 11lb 2oz, double figure bream and huge pike as yet untouched...

Ecton Lake was stocked in January 2005 with Fishers Pond fast growing C3-AAA carp - (average weight 3lb - 4lb) they have been caught in excess of 30lb, e.g. September 2009, 31lb 8oz.

During October 2009 the lake was stocked with VS Fisheries C3 carp, Leney x Dinkesbuehl, Sutton x Sutton and Sutton x Leney, these stuning carp are the very best and most sought after carp in England.
